The focus of Nightingales Lifesaving
Services is to provide training in life saving skills which
can make all the difference in a life and death situation.
The main objective of the Lifesaving Services is to build
a responsible community in helping save precious lives in
case of heart attacks or other emergencies.
This was started as a service for elders by training their
family members to handle
emergencies. But as there is a great
demand for this service across all age groups,
it has now been extended to include others. The courses educate
service minded persons in performing Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
(CPR) in cases of cardiac arrests, suffocation, and electrocution
etc within the first few minutes of the attack and saving
lives. This project has trained so far, more than 10,000 people
including doctors, nurses, paramedics,
teachers, students, corporate staff,
industrial workers, auto drivers, caregivers and individuals.
This project was started in memory of Shri Harish C. Mahindra.
