To facilitate underprivileged elders to get Old Age Pension from the Government easily Nightingales has launched a new service, Pension Help Desk on 10/04/2006 through Elders Helpline. Elders above 65 years, below the poverty line, without any family support can avail this service. At the Help Desk, elders will get all necessary assistance free of cost. Services include issue of application forms, assistance in filling the forms, getting medical certificates, attestation by gazetted officers, arranging for photographs, opening bank accounts, submission of forms and the necessary follow up.

Eligible elders have to furnish Voter Identity Card or the Ration Card with income certificate. Elders will receive pension only on the approval of the revenue department.
