| This is a special programme for
the underprivileged elders in a city slum. Started in 2003,
it aims at providing medical and nutritional care. The services
include free midday meal, clothing and medical aid.
Awareness programmes on health, nutrition and hygiene are
conducted regularly. Special care is provided for elders who
are sick or disabled in any way. On an average 50 elders receive
nutritional support every day. Enthusiastic elders of Nightingales
Elders Enrichment Centre are active volunteers in this project.
